It is true, that sometimes it gets difficult to pinpoint what exactly gives you an allergy, since a lot of food and personal care items have a multitude of mixed ingredients.  Often the good old items change their formula and you can't use it any more.  Or there is cross-contamination due to packaging or  disinfecting routines at a facility.Or your body starts reacting to something that used to be safe for you.  Or your food allergy becomes a contact allergy.  It's also important to know  for example, what  part of  raw unprepared food item you react to, because a lot of vegetarian and animal foods actually share the same substances even when not obviously related to each other. Like Corn=wheat=rice=grape, or Soy=chicken.  My allergies and intolerances include but are not limited to CORN and SOY and their derivatives and therefore I am only able to use pure, unprocessed products.   By trial an error, and by sharing and discussing the info with allergic people like myself,   I am able to find certain items that are safe for me. Sometimes you have to think "out of the box" and adopt unconventional ways of  choosing and using.Sadly, corn, soy & their derivatives are allowed in organic production. approved disinfectants & cleaning agents for anything that's sold raw, including meats; pesticides, soil enhancers; sprays and waxes for fresh fruits and veggies, and more... Being allergic, i learned it the hard way. So the safest is small local farmers with available upon request corn & soy -free practices.
Even though they are not universally safe for everybody, there are some items available for purchase online that through search and trail and error are proving to be "safe" for me.

Dental Care.

Calcium Bentonite Clay "Living Clay"  - use this product instead of toothpaste since any toothpaste at all is not corn&soy-ingredient-free.  Wet your toothbrush with clean water and dip it into the clay powder; pre-rinse your mouth with clean water, brush as usual and you will get a squeaky-clean result. Calcium Bentonite is beneficial for your teeth, and free of nasty chemicals. Toothpastes not only make the inside of my mouth peel off like from a burn, but also cause me a big deal of joint pain.

Desert Essence Tea Tree Floss- I do not use conventional flosses, since they contain a lot of soy and corn derived ingredients which gave me a light case of swelling.   Desert Essence floss works well for me.

Celtic Sea Salt - use  as a mouthwash.  Dissolve a teaspoon of it in a cup and apply as you would any conventional mouthwash.  As far as I am concerned, conventional mouthwashes are pure corn and soy liquefied and put in a bottle - every single ingredient is a danger for me, I get instant swelling from those.

Dr. Bronner's Baby Mild Soap Bar sadly recently switched to cheaper corn derived additives, so they're not anymore safe for sensitive to corn -(general use)
Olivella Fragrance Free Soap Bar(anti fungal use)  -

you can use the soaps as they are, or you can dissolve them in hot water to make a shampoo, to which you can then add selected enhancing ingredients.  To dissolve, put a third of a soap bar (better shredded of cut into small pieces)  in a 20  ounce (or so) glass jar, fill it with boiling water, stir put the lid on the jar and let cool.  If the particles are not completely dissolved, shake the jar up a few times during the day.  Regular shampoos are not safe for me, since they're full of corn and soy derived ingredients.  I get swollen from the very moment I use them, and get itchy sores on my scalp as a consequence.

Pure Encapsulations Biotin- hair growth enhancer - separate the amount of (home-made)shampoo you need for one good washing into a small bowl, open 4-5 capsules and pour the vitamin into your shampoo; ditch the capsules.  Mix it into the shampoo in the bowl and wash your hair with it, thoroughly massaging your scalp. Rinse and repeat. The amount of the vitamin is such due to the fact, that just small fraction of it actually is gonna hit the target - nourish your roots, due to the nature of the washing process itself.

Hard Rhino Pantothenic Acid (Pure Uncut B5) - de-tangler  and shine enhancer.  Works on the strands of your hair, coating them in a protective/lubricating layer.  I prefer not to apply B5 to my scalp, since I want my skin to breathe instead of getting a coat of lubricant on it.  There are options though: during your second scalp massaging session, leave some shampoo in your "bowl" to later add 3 capsules of the vitamin there and apply to your hair strands, foam up and rinse as a final step of your shampooing routine.

Lakewood Organic Lemon Juice Hair softening conditioner. Pour a third of a cup of juice into a quart size (or so) container/jar/pot, fill with water, pour on you hair, repeat.  Finish the rinse off with a little bit of  plain water to remove any residue.  Conventional conditioners are full of corn and soy ingredients, so they cause my body to swell and  leave my scalp full of flaky itchy sores.
