Methylation VS Methyl Cycle Defects. Epigenetics VS Nutrigenomics.

Can Methyl Cycle Defects  either express or stay dormant?

I'll share my amateur research on this one.

While there's a bunch of articles explaining Methylation as

" a process by which a gene's behavior is altered, but the gene itself isn't changed"

I find that those articles refer to a  different subject.

Epigenetics? Nutrigenomics?

COMT and VDR. VDRtaq vs VDRbsm

Speaking of the lecture I prepared for my loved ones - it is turning out to be helpful over and over again.

Is VDRtaq the same as VDRbsm?

I had to find an answer to this crucial question, without it I couldn't figure out the

Correlation Between COMT and VDR

Methyl Cycle Abnormalities

If you have allergies and inexplicable chemical sensitivities that make you sick,  you just might wanna test your genes.  And the first thing to look at is Methyl Cycle Abnormalities.  I had suspected those in me and the results did confirm it! So I'm eager to document and share my amateur research, trials, errors, and all.

Food Allergies

I am an adult professional dancer with Masters in Political Science (yep, that's what it takes to keep being a dancer where I'm coming from) and a bad case of Food Allergy.  And  metabolic issues. And, chronic inflammation. And, a genetic mutation that is expressing. (If you're looking into food allergy subject, chances are you have come across those abbreviations - MTHFR, CBS, COMT, etc.)

Gee, was i sickly as a kid.  More so, as a teenager.  But, I was actually okay for quite a while in my adulthood.  Until...

...some years ago, I had a scary episode ending up having an ambulance come to my house -  my heart started pounding  crazy fast and wouldn't calm down, I became short of breath, dizzy and weak, and... I had to run and sit on the toilet where my dinner rushed out of me with the speed of light..

I though i was dying.  What happened? What did i do on THAT DAY that made me sick?

Oh,  was i busy that day! "From morning till dawn" I was running around the town between my jobs, personal dance practice, food shopping and cooking, and finally,  hand washing a bunch of laundry.

But again, I was a work horse to begin with, so i did not REALLY get tired.  Well, okay, so I did one little shortcut, I added a store bought mayo to my delicious eggplant-garlic-tomato salad...  So what?  It was so delicious that I still ate it the next day, and... felt even sicker.  After that,  I just couldn't eat anything for a couple of days, at all...

I wound up running to all kinds of doctors.

The heart seemed healthy, except the abnormal rate and arrhythmia.

Initial multiple tests of stomach showed nothing wrong.

In the meantime I went on beta-blockers, but hardly felt better.

About half a year from then, repeated stomach tests showed gastritis, duodenum and gallbladder inflammation. Obviously things progressed fast. I went on the antacids.

My heart and stomach symptoms never stopped but became milder. But, then...  TA-DA!!!...

... I started getting THE SWELLING!!!!!    THAT'S when I realized I had the

 FOOD ALLERGIES.

I hope documenting my personal struggle and research can be helpful and encouraging for those with health issues, similar to mine.

Now, that's what this blog is about.
